Course Description

Students will design and develop a Boat Maze video game using the Scratch platform. They will have the opportunity to use their creativity as they explore the paint editor, create the code that will cause their game to execute, and operate the audio tools, which will give them the sense of what a “real” game developer does in creating video games!

Students will draw their maze and navigate a boat through the maze in order to reach a goal, all the while, they will need to avoid hitting the maze walls and avoid an enemy shark! All functioning of the game will be designed and programmed by the student.

What’s cool: Kids learn how to program using a familiar “Lego Block” style software called Scratch. This is the best course for learning basic computer programming.
