Course description

I Spy is based on the popular series of books, and later popular video game series, where the player identifies objects from a whimsical array of items that are on display. Students will learn how to create an array (or list) in order to keep track of the items/objects identified. An array is a special type of variable that can hold more than one value at a time.

Learning Objectives

  • Students will explore and use the sound palette in linking sounds to sprites found in the game.
  • Students will explore the use of costumes to illustrate multiple “states” of a sprite in Scratch.
  • Students will create a list, or array, to manage a number of items. An array is a special type of variable that can hold more than one value at a time.
