DISCLAIMER

Kids That Code, Inc. is an extracurricular program that introduces children to various elements of technology. Our program is designed to teach children the basic fundamentals of computer programming and various elements of technology. However, we do not guarantee that children will become proficient in computer science/coding/game development upon completion of the program. Although students will be exposed to mathematics, science, and other subjects, that are applicable to their primary courses in school, we do not guarantee an improvement in test scores. Students learn at different paces; therefore, the level of learning will differ from individual to individual.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY, PROMISE NOT TO SUE, WAIVER OF RIGHT TO SUE, ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND AGREEMENT TO PAY CLAIMS

In consideration for being allowed to participate in this Activity, on behalf of myself and my next of kin, heirs, assignees and representatives, I release from all liability and promise not to sue the State of California, the Trustees of The California State University, California State University, San Bernardino, Kids That Code, Inc., and their respective employees, officers, directors, shareholders, volunteers and agents (collectively “University”) from any and all claims, including claims of the University’s negligence, resulting in any physical or psychological injury (including paralysis and death), illness, damages, or economic or emotional loss I may suffer because of my participation in this Activity, including travel to, from and during the Activity.

I am voluntarily participating in this Activity. I am aware of the risks associated with traveling to/from and participating in this Activity, which include but are not limited to physical or psychological injury, pain, suffering, illness, disfigurement, temporary or permanent disability (including paralysis), economic or emotional loss, and/or death. I understand that these injuries or outcomes may arise from my own or other’s actions, inaction, or negligence; conditions related to travel; or the condition of the Activity location(s). Nonetheless, I assume all related risks, both known or unknown to me, of my participation in this Activity, including travel to, from and during the Activity.

I agree to hold the University harmless from any and all claims, including attorney’s fees or damage to my personal property that may occur as a result of my participation in this Activity, including travel to, from and during the Activity. If the University incurs any of these types of expenses, I agree to reimburse the University. If I need medical treatment, I agree to be financially responsible for any costs incurred as a result of such treatment. I am aware and understand that I should carry my own health insurance.

I am 18 years or older. I understand the legal consequences of accepting these terms, including (a) releasing the University from all liability, (b) promising not to sue the University, (c) waiving my right to sue, (d) and assuming all risks of participating in this Activity, including travel to, from and during the Activity.

I understand that this document is written to be as broad and inclusive as legally permitted by the State of California. I agree that if any portion is held invalid or unenforceable, I will continue to be bound by the remaining terms.

I have read this document, and I am agreeing to the terms freely. No other representations concerning the legal effect of this document have been made to me.

Refund Policy

A processing fee of $25/student will be charged for cancellations made 10 days or more before the event. There will be no refunds for cancellations made within 10 days of the event, although substitutions may be permitted. Refunds will not be provided for registrants who do not attend the course. Notice of cancellation must be made via e-mail to info@KidsThatCode.org. A cancellation acknowledgement will be sent within 3 working days and fees refunded within 10 working days, subject to this Refund Policy.

Note that circumstances beyond the control of the conference organizers may necessitate substitutions, alterations or cancellations of the boot camps. Therefore, Kids That Code, Inc. reserves the right to alter or modify the advertised programs if necessary. Any substitutions or alterations will be updated on the program’s website as soon as possible.

Kids That Code, Inc. offers non-tangible irrevocable services and we do not issue refunds once the service is provided.

As a customer you are responsible for understanding this refund policy upon purchasing any product or services at our website. However, we realize that exceptional circumstance can take place with regard to the character of the product or services we provide.

THEREFORE, WE DO HONOR REQUESTS FOR REFUND WHERE THE FOLLOWING REASONS APPLY:

Non-delivery of the product or service: such as, for example, due to establishment issues you do not receive delivery of service from us;

Product or services not-as-described: a request based on this reason is satisfied on a case-by-case basis with Kids That Code, Inc. reserving full discretion to make the determination whether a refund is appropriate.

Requests for a refund are accepted within the period of 1 week after the order is placed.

You should accompany this request with detailed and grounded reasons why you are applying for a refund. Please make sure your request does not contradict our refund policy. You may request assistance by sending email to info@KidsThatCode.org.

Payment Policy:

Registration is not complete until full payment has been received. Payments not received ten business days before the first day of the session will result in no admittance of the person(s) to the workshops. Payment may be made by Check, Visa, MasterCard or American Express with the submission of a completed registration form. A processing fee of $25 will be charged for returned checks and the registration will be cancelled automatically until a negotiable instrument (acceptable form of payment such as money order or cashier’s check) is received. Substitutions for registered attendees may be made at any time by contacting the Kids That Code Register at info@KidsThatCode.org.
